I guess that Prgmr:
- raised the contrast at first (cf. the solarized/cartoon/flat skin & quite darker hair);
- edited some dithers perhaps too (to get more diagonal ones; unknown complete gradient);
- and very likely touched up many pixels at the end (in order to get plain B&W surfaces);
unlike me here [no intention of pixel art competition beyond my wish of accurate values]
